Views on the road to (and from) Sandpoint

These shots were taken on three different trips but it shows some of the scenery to enjoy along the way.  By accident, I shot a picture from the car and captured the view behind me in the rear view mirror.  It it so interesting to see the two views at the same time, I continued to take MANY pictures doing that.
Can you say short attention span? 

Since they were doing much construction that summer, the traffic was stopped periodically.  As I sat at a red light on the road by the river near Thompson Falls, I started cracking up and thinking to myself how typical of Montana to have a stoplight in the middle of nowhere on the highway.

The last set of pictures was a beach I found on the opposite side of the lake from Sandpoint.  It was a public beach but you had to drive through a large area of residences to get there...it was beautiful!
